What to expect

The site is maintained by one person alongside other work. Replies usually take a few business days and occasionally longer. Corrections to the arithmetic, to the growth-fraction table, or to how a method is described get priority over feature requests.

Useful things to include

• The page you were on, and the exact weight, age and size class you entered.
• Which method you were reading — the growth-fraction estimate or the simple linear rule.
• A source, if you are proposing a change to a published figure such as a breed-standard range.

What we cannot help with

We cannot answer questions about your puppy's health, weight gain, diet, symptoms or treatment. Nobody here is a veterinarian, and email cannot examine a dog. If your puppy is losing weight, not gaining, or you are worried about how it is growing, contact your veterinary practice — and for anything urgent, an emergency clinic, immediately, rather than waiting on a reply.
